appearance in their association. After what their relationship became later, I thought
this picture was hilarious if you take it out of context. The context was Marvel Fanfare

Xavier is dying and has asked
Magneto to take the New Mutants for him. I don't care what retcons they try to perform on
both the characters, I am and always was a fan of the friendship between Xavier and
Magneto, and I thought this scene was very touching. From Uncanny X-Men #200. Writer:

Magneto at Magda's grave. I was
unhappy with the retcon of Magneto's ethnicity in this issue, but the rest of the issue
was just fine. This scene-- a full page from toward the end of the issue, where a sniper
takes aim at Magneto as he visits his wife's grave-- is beautiful. X-Men Unlimited #2.
