Subject: NEW: Q-t the Cake (TNG drabble) [G] 1/1 From: kmwilcox@ccwf.cc.utexas.edu (K. Michael Wilcox) Date: Tue, 06 July 1999 12:35 PM EDT Message-id: Q-t the Cake -- A Drabble "I'm back!" Q yelled, but the bridge was empty. "Hmmph." Then the turbolifts opened, and the crew poured out. All wore paper hats, and Riker carried a cake. "Surprise!" they shouted. "Happy birthday!" "It's not my birthday." "No?" Troi asked. "No. I don't have one. I'm older than the concept of days." "In that case," Picard said, "we'll take back these presents." Q grinned. "Wait. Why can't today be my birthday? Gimme." Picard held out a wrapped box. "Read the card first." "Why not? 'Kltpzyxm'? What's that supposed to mean?" he asked before fading away. Picard laughed. "It actually worked." --- A drabble is a work of exactly 100 words (not counting title).
