Early, Unfinished Fics (with Smut)
Familiar Strangers: NC-17: cons het sex, rape, torture. Incomplete. Genderswapped, mortal Q. At a diplomatic conference with a really unpleasant government, Picard encounters a female sex slave who claims she can give him an alternative to treating with said really unpleasant government if he can get her out of here. As the disclaimers suggest, she turns out to be Q; the Q who showed up in the shuttlecraft wasn't nearly so kind as the one in canon.
Prometheus In Chains: NC-17. Mortal Q. This story is a "Q loses his powers" that doesn't depend on either "Deja Q" or Q doing something stupid. It's also going to be quite NC-17 with m/m and f/f, eventually, but so far just one smutty scene. It also has X-Men characters pretending to belong to the Star Trek universe, filling out the cast of characters on a colony world.
No Smut:
Lovers and Angels: PG. A P/Q slash vignette with no sex. There are about half a million "Picard and Q get involved" slash stories out there, and I wasn't interested in retelling that concept, so I just assumed they had a relationship and wrote a brief tale of loving that which is alien.
April Q: PG. My friend Andraste was running a cross-fandom Holiday Fanfiction Project in 2002 and since she put up a last-minute beg for stories that were not about Christmas or the X-Men, I decided to quickly write one. Sadly this story shows how fast it was written; it really does beg for some expansion. But I may or may not get to that, so I've decided to put it up here anyway.
Hypothetically Speaking: PG-13. Another P/Q story with no sex (what is it with those?) Post-Nemesis, Jean-Luc's been comparing notes with Kathy, and won't Q be surprised at his hypotheses? I think this may actually be that strangest of beasts, an original concept for getting Picard and Q together. Stories in which Picard initiates things are damn rare to begin with.
Seventeen Things That Might Have Happened To Q: PG-13. Seventeen separate AUs from Q's point of view. Includes Picard/Q, Janeway/Q, Guinan/Q, Kirk/Q, Amanda Rogers, Will Riker, Trelane's other dad and several variants of character death. No explicit sex, no violence more explicit than someone getting thrown out an airlock or talking about being mentally violated. Link goes to fanfiction.net because linking seventeen stories to each other is a pain in the butt.
A Doctor, A Q and a Baby: PG-13. This is P/C and P/Q, genderswap, takes place in a total crackfic AU that also appears in "Seventeen Things", above, and does not actually have Picard and Q interact at all. When Janeway turned Q down, Q took female form and got Picard to be the father of her child. But a human baby needs a human mother. Beverly Crusher and Q fight over Picard and the proper care of Q babies. P/C, P/Q, Q in female form.
A Kiss Before The War: PG-13. And yet another P/Q story with no sex. Q has come to tell Picard that humanity has graduated, and asks if Picard will miss him. The answer, to Picard's surprise, is actually yes.
"Do It Again": Genderswap with fem!Q. Alt. timeline (not alt. universe; Q actually makes a new timeline, deliberately) where Q takes female form from the beginning, and tries to recreate her relationship with Picard from the ground up. Is only pre-het from Q's perspective thus far, as Picard is every bit as irritated with this Q as with the canon one.
Do It Again, Prologue: In which Q has a midlife crisis, dumps the kid on the mate, and takes a vacation by creating an alternate timeline.
Do It Again 2: Farpoint, Revisited: In which Q redoes the Farpoint encounter, appearing as a woman, antagonizing Worf deliberately instead of accidentally, and making other minor changes.
Do It Again 3: Quality of Growth: Post-"Lonely Among Us." Q shows up in Picard's bedroom to harangue him in lieu of giving Riker the powers later on.
Gen or Pre-Slash
Working In Groups: Incomplete. PG. Mortal Q. This is Deja Q, the anti-deus-ex-machina remix. What if the Q Continuum had not intervened in any way after Q's selfless act? Gen, but lots of Picard&Q interaction.Guidance: PG. Mortal Q. Based on my "Only Human" Deja Q spinoff "Q never gets his powers back" AU, but with an important difference -- Picard isn't killed by Q's absence in "Tapestry." Picard comes to the starbase where Q has been living for three years, and finds him suicidally depressed. This is gen, but if you wear your slash goggles and squint you can see pre-slash elements.
Asking Jesus for Shoes: PG. Gen. Written for Realm of the Muse, a prompt fic. Not slash, but features Picard and Q interacting. Q takes Picard back to the 20th century, Picard decides to take shelter from the possibility of changing the timeline in a church, and hilarity ensues. Mocks hypocrisy more than religion, but the deeply religiously sensitive may want to avoid it anyway.
Drabbles:
"The Djinn and His Master": The challenge was "love slaves."
Q Costume Drabbles: I wrote three for the "costume" challenge, since Q is Trek's resident costume slut. Two are P/Q or P&Q: "Facets": A conversation between Picard and Q, and "Femme Fatale": It was originally Peter David who suggested Q might pull a stunt like this, but it was Atara Stein who suggested that Picard wouldn't be as stupid as Q thinks.
Thoroughly Modern Smut:
The Bad Guy: R. Technically not smut. An unofficial sequel to Infatuation by Sasha-Anu. Last week, Picard snapped and humiliated Q in front of his bridge crew. Now Q's back, and looking for payback. Dark, elements of non-con. This is not my usual Picard or my usual Q.
Brought Low: NC-17. Genderswapped AU, Q and Picard are both female. Totally smut. In fact, a PWP that may well be completely out of character, though I will argue that a Frenchwoman might have been raised to be slightly less oblivious to subtext than a Frenchman.
Need: NC-17. Mortal Q. Not really all that smutty, more about emotions than sex. Since losing his powers, Q needs Picard.
The Teasing Game: NC-17. Established relationship. Very much smut. Q is bored and challenges Picard to a game where he teases Picard sexually in public, noncorporeally, and Picard has to hide it from the crew.
