This is a poem about Mystique, after a recent request from Alara for more stuff on her. I know it's not fanfic, but I've not the time to do that. Temptation, by Morpheus - The first time I saw One of her faces, My heart became raw With passion. She wore a sad face, And a mask of emotion, Intent I could not place. To those eyes I surrendered. Those green eyes on fire, I could not resist. Buried in dirt and mire, She was my salvation. She reached out with hand Of golden skin, And tore me from the land, So barren and evil. My new life with her lay Ripe with hope and vigour. But then she cast me astray, Like so much dirt. With broken heart, I could not go on. I tried to start, A new life. But, I shall Never be allowed. I loved her eternal, And I could not rescind her. I clung to memories old, And tried to move on. But I was not bold, Only weak. I saw one way, To rid my heart of her. I had to away With my entire life. I razed the past, Leaving all behind. And now at last, I was free. With broken heart, I could now go on. I can now start, My new life. Victor Creed is dead. Long live Sabretooth.
