Homecoming: The Return of an Heir Character Dictionary Aldarus Neramani: Historically considered one of the greater generals of the Shi'ar Imperium. He is also the patriarch of the Neramani family line. It was under his inspired leadership that the Shi'ar were able to withstand the Siege of D'arthon and eventually repel the Fal'korr. It was also under him that the Fal'korr were systematically hunted down and exterminated after the end of the war of Attrition. Ashallan: The first advisor of Gadian and also his Guardian. Ashallan has been a member of the Fal'korr longer than living partisan. Her skill and cunning are respected and feared by all. Ashallan herself once held a position on the council of nine as a Keeper. However, she resigned her position in order to take a more direct hand in the manipulations of the Shi'ar Magistrate. Emoln Teleranni: Former member of the Noble council. He was recently murdered along with his family while vacationing on the World of Trenist. Official reports have indicated that Skrull Terrorists were responsible though there have been a few dissenting voices in the matter. Before his death, he and his wife were the greatest supporters of the Empress within the noble council. They were also the official successors to the throne in the case of the sudden demise of the Empress. Gadian: The Mysterious and Corrupt presiding keeper of the Fal'korr. His success as presiding keeper on the council of nine is due largely to the fact that he has surrounded himself with extremely capable help. Such as Kr'lltumen, who serves him in the capacity of Savoss J'thenn, Ashallan, who serves as his first advisor, and Praxor, who is his second advisor. His current ambitions include the complete destruction of the Neramani line and gaining control of the imperial throne though House Ja'harr, which he controls. Hahl Tarrak: The Official director of the Imperial treasuries and member of Lilandra's advisory. He is the only member of the advisory that wasn't already deeply involved in politics before his selection. Instead, he was merely a successful businessman who had been able to establish a massive financial empire. Though quite skilled in his position, his single-minded approach to governing the Shi'ar financial system, even at the complete disregard of the Shi'ar public, is quite disturbing to the other members of the advisory. Jalrus Talm: The current Chief Magistrate of the Shi'ar Imperium. In his position he is second in power only to the Imperial throne. As such, he is also the foremost rival with Lilandra in politics. The tales of their confrontations of different issues have become nearly legendary within the Imperium. Jalrus holds firmly to the belief that the Shi'ar people should abide by tradition as much as possible and is thus greatly opposed to nearly all the changes that Lilandra proposes. He was violently opposed to the Idea of non-Shi'ar consort for the Empress and was quite incensed upon the discovery of Rem'aillon's existence. J'oshe: The ancient prophet who is credited as the founder of the M'krann faith, which is the predominant religion in modern day Chandilar. J'oshe lived in a dark and violent time, where his teachings of peace, spiritual enlightenment, and the concept of a grand Creator were not readily accepted. The warring clans saw him as a threat to their political power and eventually succeeded in killing him. However, before his death, J'oshe was able to establish a base of believers who took his teachings to the entire planet until such ideals were embraced by the majority of Chandilar. J'thenn: Historically credited as the creator of the modern-day Fal'korr society. A noble of a minor house, J'thenn reached the apex of his political career early in life, becoming the Chief Magistrate within the Imperial Magistrate. However, he quickly became corrupted by the power and was eventually dishonorably dismissed from his post. Unwilling to admit defeat, J'thenn revived the then nearly extinct Fal'korr dissident faction. Combining the old faction with other research that he had gathered on several secret societies in the history of the Imperium as well as his own personal philosophies, he managed to re-create the Fal'korr as a new, deadly entity. At the head of the newly organized Fal'korr, he set out to gain control of the Imperium and in the process managed to thoroughly corrupt the Empire. Judan Sysc: A member of Telra Ja'harr's official staff. Because of his position as staff member he is given access information normally restricted to the public, which he often uses to his own advantage. However, his self-serving nature led him to committing the error of becoming improperly involved with the daughter of Telra Ja'harr. And when holographic evidence of his indiscretions fell into the hands of Zair Rilie, he found himself becoming one of her unwilling contacts. Kalem D'arthon: The successor of J'thenn who took control of the Fal'korr society after it's leader's demise. Through sublet and brutal means alike, Kalem managed to gain control of majority of the factions that had been created within the Fal'korr after J'thenn's death. He then lead his followers on a bloody march across Chandilar that culminated in the Siege of the Capital City, historically referred to as the Siege of D'arthon. The siege was ultimately a failure and Kalem was killed on the battlefield. Kr'lltumen: The first of Gadian's disciples and arguable one of the more deadly assassins that has ever become a member of the Fal'korr. He currently serves in the position of Savoss J'thenn (The Talon of J'thenn) and thus reports directly to the presiding keeper and can, in some instances, act with the same impunity as the presiding keeper. His skill and brutality have been adequately displayed by the fact that he has already ruthlessly crushed two assassination attempts upon Gadian in his time as Savoss J'thenn. Neff Teleranni: The priest that is historically credited as being the man that first discovered the existence of the Fal'korr. During J'thenn and the Fal'korr's rise to power, Neff was laboring iin an extended service mission to the planets within the outer rim. Neff returned to his homeland after thirty years of dedicated service to find that Chandilar had been thoroughly corrupted by some unknown force. Sensing that something perverted the Imperium that he had served so diligently, Neff began a private crusade to uncover his silent foe. At first, he was mocked and ridiculed for his efforts. All this changed, however, when the Emperor was murdered. Neff was able to trace the murderer and even linked him to J'thenn. As a result, the Fal'korr were first exposed and J'thenn was tried and executed for his crimes. Pell Mentari: The official director of the Shi'ar Intelligence community and a member of Lilandra's Imperial Advisory. He has been known to clash with the Empress on occasion when she makes judgments or decisions that do not fully take into account the data and intelligence that he has provided for her. They also tend to disagree wildly in political philosophy. Yet, despite these differences, Lilandra believes that Director Mentari and the Intelligence community that he heads are the most reliable sources of information available to her. Praxor: The second advisor of Gadian. He was chosen to fill the position of second advisor by Gadian solely on the insistence of Ashallan. Despite being greatly respected within the Fal'korr as a crafty manipulator, he also has a reputation of lacking ambition. Despite these limitations, he has proven to be a great asset to Gadian, who has in the last ten years entrusted him with the handling of house Ja'harr. Rebohan: The second of Gadian's disciples. He is a noble by birth and currently one of the few members of the Fal'korr that occupies a seat on the noble council. It was this fact alone that endured the man to Gadian, for, underneath his outward bluster and confidence, he is a coward who folds easily under pressure. Rallin Dalkaon: The official consultant of External and foreign affairs to the Empress and a member of her advisory. Rallin is an experienced diplomat and respected official throughout the entire Imperium. He has been advisor to several Emperors and is well known for his conservative policies. Though he often disagrees with Lilandra, he is always willing to follow her with complete loyalty as he firmly believes that the Neramani Line is in fact the prophesied Chosen Lineage returned. Sherla Bo'othan: A young disciple in the Fal'korr who has not yet reached the rank of full partisan within the Fal'korr, despite her several years as initiate. She is rather na‹ve and foolish, traits which lead her to her current position, firmly under the boot of her Guardian, who has not even revealed her identity to Sherla. She has only recently truly begun to understand what she has become involved with and now desperately wishes for a way out. She serves as one of the many servants throughout the Imperial palace. Talyn Farsahn: The official consultant of Internal and domestic affairs to the Empress and a member of her advisory. Though skilled in her position, she often finds herself stonewalled as she has acquired quite a reputation as being an overly liberal radical. And while her views to tend to coincide with more of Lilandra's personal opinions, Both know that the public in general is just not ready for the majority of the policies that Talyn would propose. Telra Ja'harr: The matriarch of the Ja'harr family and second in line to the Imperial throne after Lilandra. Shee walks a dangerous line as h primary alliances are to the mysterious benefactor which has controlled the rise of her family's prominence for the past thirty years. Despite this fact, she still wants what she considers best for the Imperium, but is too weak to fight against the forces that bind her. Vallis Ja'harr: The eldest son of Telra Ja'harr and a prominent member of the Imperial Magistrate. Unlike his mother, who is weak but has noble intentions, Vallis has been so corrupted in his quest for power the Fal'korr have even considered taking him into their ranks. He is currently deeply involved in the purist faction alongside Jalrus Talm, not because of any personal conviction, but because he believes that it is the emerging political trend. Zair Rilie: A former operative within the Shi'ar Intelligence Community who, along with her husband, exemplified herself in her service to the throne. However, her career came to an end when her husband, who had been working on a special assignment at the time, was suddenly killed in a hover transport accident. His death eventually led Zair on a crusade to uncover the Fal'korr, whom she believes to be responsible for her husbands demise. As a result of her tireless pursuit of this goal, she was forced to leave the Intelligence community and has acquired the reputation of being somewhat of a renegade.
